Hi !

A month ago, I was visiting my sister in New York (I live in Paris)... it was a great trip ! About photography, among other "classic NY pictures", I've been taking photos at the Bronx Zoo and in Central Park, of tigers and squirrels.
Sadly, while I was taking pictures at the zoo, the autofocus of my tele-lens (Sigma 70-300mm f4-5,6 APO macro) stopped working...

I haven't been very active recently because of all my vet exams but I'm now in vacations until... a 3 weeks training in July. And what a training !

It's a scientific trip in Himalaya mountains to study the wild snow panther !

... After my trip in New York, I couldn't think about anything else but buying a new lens for my incredible scientific journey : I needed it ! Here my hesitations started...
I was so much attracted by the Canon 70-200 f4 L USM... with the sharpness, the fast USM and the constant f4 aperture !
But, I finally decided to buy the Canon 70-300mm f4-5,6 IS USM. The dilemna was really big, but I thought it was a better lens for my training (100g lighter, longer focale, image stabilized and cheaper lens).
It was a so hard choice. I already have few regrets about the sharpness and the constant f4 aperture... whatever, the 70-300mm is at least such a better lens than my old Sigma. Well, we will see. I think I just need to take good pictures to be satisfied !

Don't hesitate to give me your impressions about these lenses !

Little goodbye to my dear old Sigma lens :

Thank you for all the support !

Be sure I read every comment, and that I truly appreciate each

and each
